Winter Formal and Reading Books

Since Logan and I never did get to go to Prom together, we took full advantage of the Graduate School of Business Winter Formal and had a blast.
Eva stayed home and read books.
But her favorite was reading books with Caroline over Thanksgiving!

San Diego Fires

This is the house two down and across the street from Grandpa's, completely destroyed.

This is the house directly behind Grandpas, also completely burned and yet his was totally untouched. Wow, what a blessing.

Feeding the ducks at Grandpa's house

Feeding the swan with Auntie Liz.
Eva had a hard time sharing the bread with the ducks, after all...she was hungry too!

Paddle boats at twilight.

Cousins Cousins Cousins

Feeding the ducks at Grandpa's house
Playing the player piano with Clarissa, Hannah on guitar and Eva with the shaker. 'California Here We Come', 'Chatanooga Choo Choo', 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,' 'Hard Hearted Hannah,' 'Shine on Harvest Moon,' and 'Sweet Georgia Brown' are still the trusted family favorites.
Snuggling with darling Caroline who names every baby, every horse, every cat Eva!

Beach Babies

Will was the first victim...buried in the sand.
Eva seemed to be over the sand eating stage. Spending every day in the sand box in the courtyard quickly cured her of the grainy, exfoliating texture. But evidently beach sand is something else entirely and suddenly tasted delicious...who knew?
Muscle men, and women catching some waves.

At the Beach

'If everybody had an ocean...'
Kissing cousins on the beach! Peterson and Eva are just too entertaining.
Eva was quite pleased with her masterpiece...instead of building a sand castle, she decided to bury Peterson.

Turkey Day Dance

On our way to San Diego for Thanksgiving, we spent a couple of days with the Strombergs in Orange County. Prime cousin time - Slumber parties, silly hats, and of course Francis, the yellow lab.

Who wants boring place settings when you can have silly turkey hat name cards instead!

Eva loved, loved, loved Francis and now walks up to every dark glass sliding door and barks hoping that Francis will appear as he magically always did at Aunt Jenny's house!

San Francisco, Open your Golden Gates

Logan surprised us last Friday and came home from school in the early afternoon, so we hopped in the car and headed for the city. 35 minutes later we were enjoying creamy clam chowder, fresh fish and chips...and of course, chocolate!

Kyle was in San Fran for the USC-Cal game so we got to enjoy a morning together. I think Eva has a crush!

A New Suit

But alas, the favorite suit remains the birthday suit!

A visit to Boise!

Eva and I gave Logan some quiet time for midterms and headed to Boise. She kept her dad in the loop with frequent phone calls.
