Valentine's Feast

After months of research on romance throughout history and culture, Anne concocted a very deliberate Valentines feast from oysters three ways to passionfruit and strawberries to chocolate, rose petal jelly, and the original green m&m. A truly delicous and delightful night for the feasting society.

Snow at Eagle Mountain

While Log skied Tahoe with the guys, we remaining girlies joined five families for our own weekend of fun, sun and snow at Eagle Mountain. Snow angels, hot tub splash wars, snow ball battles, fresh crab won-tons, super speed sledding, steam room lip syncs, late night charades, ho-cho and monster sized snowmen -- all we missed was Log.

Celebrating 30 year of Anne

There was only one appropriate way to celebrate the queen of celebration on the eve of her big day….In true extravagant, surprise style. Dressed to kill we boarded our coach to surprise the birthday girl. Headed to an elegant room at one of downtown’s finest eateries we giggled over gorgeous small plates. Back to the house (with ‘Spring Break’ style dancing out the moonroof) for the after party ‘Anne’s 30th Pajama Jam’, toasts, gifts, a rousing round of costumed 'This is your life,' steamed cinnamon milk and flour de sel cake, a countdown to midnight with a surprise guest (her sweetheart) to offer the final toast, and first kiss of the 30th year of adored Anne. Oh what a night…

Tradgedy Strikes

Ev daintily and deliberately waltzed into the living room yesterday with horrible news…my little girl was gone, for Miss Ev had discovered her LLLLLLady voice .
‘Mom, I know how to talk yike a LLLLLLLLLady. A LLLLLLLLLady says LLLLLLLLips, and LLLLLLLLLady, and LLLLLLo-yee-pop (lollipop.) While hiding my mournful tears in layers of lavish praise, just as my mother heart was shattering to a million pieces of inevitable dispair – a miracle - timely evidence that although she has discovered the true sound of L, she is still my little chum. Ev walked away rubbing her dry elbows and saying, ‘I’m a LLLLLLLLLLady, and I need to put LLLLLLLotion on my dry, dry apricots.’
