Dressed to the hilt for the George's annual Sing-along and Eat-a-lot. With a holly bough in hand, Mary led the traditional carols, including (pictured below) the Twelve Days of Christmas starring 'Logan Lord a Leaping' (in the yellow jester cap) and moi on the end with the partridge in a pear tree (or at least a rubber chicken to wave in the air.)

Family Christmasing in the City. Ice skating in Union Square, the Macy's holiday windows, Christmas Ornaments at Gumps and the gigantic gingerbread at the Weston.

Join us for an evening of song, sweets and celebration as our families
recreate a humble version of the First Noel.
Please bring a plate of goodies to share, a blanket to sit on
and come dressed for your part.
(No fuss costumes, bathrobes welcome.)

Bethlehem was muddy, wet and dark this year. Gratefully, we found room in the Inn for our annual pageant.

A tender Mary and Joseph moment...
Who would have guessed that as the Angel chorus began singing 'Oh Little Town of Bethlehem' this dynamic duo were no-where to be found. Finally, I discovered them hiding under the kitchen table with an inflatable snake and a plethora of cookies. They walked sweetly hand in hand to the manger...Mary clutching a cookie in her free hand all the while, and then leaning behind Joseph for secret bites to keep her going throughout the pageant...a starlet simply must have her sustinence.

The naughtily nibbling Mother Mary, angelic legions of tu-tu'd angels, humble and hilarious shepherds, and the ever-wiley wise men made for a tender and terrifically entertaining show.

Not pictured: Angelic Jane Esther, who was found post-pageant with her tutu and halo around her neck 'signing' checks she found in the entry table drawer. Ah well, with a father narrating and a mother directing, the show simply must go on sans one darling and wayward little angel.
