CARNIVAL

Who needs Rio when you've got the GSB Spring Reunion?
From snakes and ponies, to a bubble magician and clown, to BBQ and smoothies, cupcakes, ice cream, and a monkey on a leash. Over the top in every direction, and absolutely spectacular.

Strictly Ballroom

When Christina called to say that Big Time Ballroom was coming to town, you better bet we were there bee boppin with the bronzed babes and babettes.
Our favorite performer (and costume) was this Swedish star Miss Ev named,
The Ducky.

The Tish

When Eva called Auntie Liz - two states away - inviting her over for poached eggs, she said 'Sure, I'd love to come.' So she hopped on a flight and came for a weekend of swings, carnivals, indulgent cookie truffles, and a traditional Sisters Brunch. Oh, oh, oh, how we love her.

Ocean Avenue

A trip south, a gorgeous evening on the santa monica pier,
a historic boardwalk, a handsome date, and a birthday bash for beloved friends.

Lobstering on the Pier

So So happy to celebrate the combined ‘90th birthday’ of Log’s childhood chum and his beloved mum at the Lobster. You do the math, and the answer to this equation was a fabulous view of the Boardwalk, deliciousness and dancing, the chance to share lots of memories, lots of laughs, and a ridiculously great night with the Morks and many many dear ones from Denver.

Mother's Day in Rancho

The 90th Birthday celebration served as the ideal excuse for a weekend in the OC, and I’ve quite possibly discovered the formula for the perfect mother’s day – a. leave your home. b. enlist of team of gorgeous cousins to entertain and enjoy your children, prepare a feast, and smother you with service.

Movie Night

IT WAS –Hot air popped corn, pizza, nachos and movie treats in spades, a film trivia challenge, dear friends and sweethearts snuggled under blankets for The Count of Monte Cristo under a starry sky. A memorable backyard movie night at the Hutchings!

IT WAS NOT - A viewing of the original Clash of the Titans…and thus it was a grave disappointment to our gracious hostess who did everything in her power to rig, cheat, and even guilt her guests into casting Clash the winning vote.

Either way, ‘Release the Krakens!’ has been adopted by many in attendance as the new morning battle cry when the pitter-patter of little feet mean our children are awake.

Feasting in Morocco

Tom and Ana took Feasting Society to the African Continent and the Kingdom of Morocco. Aside from Casablana, and whatever is served at hunky Humphrey Bogart's club Rick's, I hadn't previously considered this rich, exotic, mouth watering cuisine...What a spectacular spread.

Weekending with the Jacksons

Is it any wonder that when two chums from 'los dias de Argentina' reunite... Two chums who at one point
may have performed in a band called, 'timbers of curious workmanship'
& may have convinced other friends to wear antennae on their heads to improve cell phone reception, & may have cruised the streets of BA in a big white van belting tunes of 'Gypsie Lady' &'Lunch Lady Blues'... that their reunion - now including wives and children - looked something like this:
